We arehonored that you are considering LCSH for one of the most important decisions you have as a parent. We are committed to making our Center the best choice for your child byproviding a safe, educational, happy and trustingenvironment.We urge you to keep in mind that a child-care center cannot be all things to all people.Our primary concern is the happiness of your child, so please consider carefully whether our curriculum, policies andphilosophy are a good fit for your family. LCSH has an open enrollment, meaning applications are taken year round and children are accepted as openings occur. While there is sometimes a wait for enrollment, our location in the heart of the academic and medical community means that openings do happen seasonally as some families relocate. The more notice you can give us about when you will need childcare, the better. Interested parents are invited to fill out the Preliminary Inquiry Form at the bottom of this page.
If we have an opening (or possibly, a potential opening) that compliments your desired schedule, you will be contacted to schedule an appointment to visit the facility, meet with the Director and view the premises.
After the initial meeting, we advise the parents of the availability of a space for their child at the Center. If a space is available, parents are required to give a non-refundable one-month deposit and a signed Handbook Acknowledgement Form if they wish to secure a space for their child. It is important for parents to understand that this deposit is non-refundable in the event that your family chooses not to take the space.
We are happy to provide introductions to other LCSH parents for the purpose of references. Often, we may be able to provide you with the name of one of your coworkers or a peer in your field.
